Joy – Megan Graduates { Edmonton Portrait Photographer }

Megan just finished up the 2 year Photographic Technology program at NAIT. I first met her when she came to my office for a work study and she was so super sweet. She missed the class photo session so I was asked to take some images for her and of course I was more than happy to! I finally got to meet Megan’s boyfriend as well and included him in some of our photos as well. We did a photo with my backdrop here at my office then went and took a walk to finish out our session. Congratulations Megan and I wish you all the best in your path forward!

He was soo cute and smiley! I really enjoyed meeting little Jakob and his parents. Mom had a super sweet little outfit that we used first with a page-boy cap. I loved watching him grab his toes which he did often. By the end of our time together Jakob was pretty tired of modelling – I’m sure he had a great nap!

Excitement – Suzy & Victor { Edmonton Engagement Photographer }

Another one of our adorable 2012 couples met up with us not long ago for some engagement photos. I’m soo happy that it turned out to be another lovely day and the walk we took outside was quite pleasant. We started out at the Concordia College and proceeded down into the river valley from there. Suzy has the most beautiful hair and we tried alot of different angles to showcase it. At the end of our shoot we got to meet their two little canine kids So much fun!

Just a little bit of snow left on the ground but definitely warm enough to go without a sweater for a short time.

Excitement – Danielle & Mark { Edmonton Engagement Photographer }

Danielle & Mark met up with us to take a couple photos in honor of their engagement. They are super cute together and it was a pleasure getting to know them better. Luckily they live near a very cool little pond where we were able to take a walk and photograph them there. The weather was nice enough that we even had them sitting down on the ground for a few images. Unbelievable to think this was not that long ago when I look out our window today and see a blanket of snow everywhere. Alberta is so very unpredictable. I’m sure we are going to have a great day with these two when they get married this July.

Felix is 6 months old and soo super cute. I love his smile and dimples! He did a great job posing for me even though he just woke up and wasn’t super impressed with all the clothing changes. Mom and Dad were fantastic diversions for Felix; singing songs and making faces. I’m looking forward to our 1 year session!

I love meeting up with families yearly and watching them grow. The Leys had their wedding photos done with us and I have been able to keep in touch with them through portraits and facebook. Laura has started a cake company; Triple L Cakes and she has been doing an amazing job creating beautiful creative cakes. We enjoyed taking a walk through the snow at a local park and doing a little playing in the park. It was a beautiful sun filled day and perfect for some photos.

We celebrated Eric’s first birthday with a photo session and ended off with a fun cake smashing. Eric was a pleasure to work with and we had so much fun entertaining him. I loved how we got to add in Eric’s big brother into the cake smashing at the very end. Both boys had alot of fun digging in to the sugar and thankfully we had Grandma in attendance to assist with a quick clean-up bath when we were done.

Adorable – Jackson

There is a group of little ones progressing together this year…so the 6 month sessions are all coming up right now. Jackson is in this bundle and he was alot of fun to work with. He did a great job sitting for us and was very patient with clothing changes and the different things we were trying to get him to do for us. Such a little charmer he is! I was happy to see his little smile even though he is doing some teething and really wanted to suck on his lip. Next time we see each other he’s going to be more mobile than ever and I look forward to chasing him around

Their wedding is coming up soon … very soon … as in next month soon. We are excited to be a part of this special day. It was fantastic getting to know this little family a bit better. We had some fun enjoying a little walk together and happily we were blessed with beautiful weather.

They are such a great looking family. I love the connection that they share.

I saw the perfect log framed by another and I was so happy that Luiza and Marcelo didn’t mind taking a seat on it for me.
